I have found that so many kids need movement to help them focus and learn. not just the students with OT, IEP’s, or learning disabilities! I have been trying to increase my supply through our PTO of sensory equipment that can be use throughout the whole school for all students when needed. When COVID-19 hit and we started seeing all the restrictions and rules for returning to school, I quickly realize that the equipment I’ve been trying to build up will not be enough! These students are used to moving frequently within their classrooms and to different rooms. This will be different this year. My goal is to use these for in class learning because students are going to be so restricted in the ability to move around freely within their classrooms and spaces. My own daughter just went through first grade and I don’t think she could’ve survived without it! She does not get occupational therapy services in the school district.
