I love using Scholastic Let's Find Out magazines with my class because there are many subject areas for which it is hard to find non-fiction texts that are at the students' grade level. Not only will the students have access to the paper copies of the magazines (I plan to deliver them to their homes once a month while we are learning virtually), but the subscription also includes a digital copy. Short videos are also included, which boost the excitement about the topic. Learning how to stay healthy is more important now than ever! I have also included several books in my project that will help us to learn the importance of hand washing, wearing masks, and social distancing. I plan to incorporate these into our community circles so they will learn healthy habits for at home and for when we return to the classroom.
