The ongoing pandemic has resulted in serious cutbacks in our large school's budget, thus restricting teachers from freely using the school copier to produce printed worksheets. Meanwhile, students have to do much of their work online, watching videos and typing simple answers. Interestingly, research shows that writing by hand actually sharpens our brains and helps us process and retain information more effectively than typing on a computer! Having a classroom printer and paper will enable my young students to practice handwriting skills and continue in effective learning, whether at school or home.
