The note-taking tools (binders, highlighters, and notebook paper) will ensure that each one of my students has the supplies needed to be successful. Given that Civics is a tested area, students are given content at an accelerated pace and are expected to regurgitate all the information given to them throughout the year through mini assessments and an end of course exam. Having all of their notes in an organized and uniform fashion gives each student the opportunity to have a reference point on all the content they’ve learned—and optimizes student learning gains beyond the classroom walls. The donations to this project will help my students stay organized as each student will be assigned an individual set and given procedures on how to record and classify their notes. We are working as a collective to achieve higher proficiency rates for the 2021-2022 school year. The donations to this project will provide students the necessary supplies needed to be successful, which in turn, will allow us to soar to higher heights.
