The students I serve will receive the most authentic, individualized education possible because they will be exposed to apps we as adults use in our daily lives through the iPad. It will also be an easy starting point to apps I will be creating that will translate to any tablet/phone/computer and allow for our virtual learning model to rejuvenate each student's enthusiasm and engage them in learning activities from home! While the students are soaking in the endless options of authentic reading, math, and social emotional learning activities the iPad can provide, I can access, take, and create quick, accurate and confidential behavior management notes to each student's individual caseload documents during observations throughout the school day. Students with speech and language delays will be able to utilize interfaces that allow for effective communication. The access to the iPad would promote a long-term educational impact to all of my special needs learners. Each day as an educator you can feel like the world is spinning, but if you're organized and have the right tools in your back pocket- the student growth that happens is inspiring.
