I wish to build my classroom library just I wish to get back to building a reading community that was interrupted so abruptly in March. Students are entering school with much higher literacy needs this Fall, and the diverse titles that I am requesting will help match those needs. Not all students had equal access to authentic and appropriate literature during distance learning due to COVID19. I hope for my classroom library to be rich in literary options, and vast enough so that my students have books on hand in the event of another school closure.
