By having an iPad to use in our speech room, our students will be able to practice their communications skills in an interactive way! Therapy will look different this year so materials used in each session is limited. Having an iPad that can easily be wiped off after each session, will save time between sessions. Our students love using technology and will be motivated to accomplish their speech goals for rewarded iPad time. While using the iPad, we will have a whole language approach to therapy (books, pretend play, etc). There are many wonderful speech therapy apps and I look forward to using them with each and every speech student in the school. The iPad will also be helpful for data collection, screenings and intervention services as well.
