Our students often feel disconnected from the school environment. This impacts their academic performance, motivation for learning and creating healthy relationships with other students as well as adults. Providing items in the classroom such as stress balls, fidgets and rubik cubes will help manage stress. This will help students feel more relaxed, increase their concentration and improve skills to begin to interact socially. Rock painting is an artful way for the student's to show their talents and uniqueness. By designing their own rock, this helps teachers and other students gain a better understanding of who the student is. This helps to foster communication and relationships, which is needed more than anything right now.
