I delightfully teach 6th-8th graders being served under Special Education in a self-contained classroom that focuses on Social, Emotional, Behavioral skills. My days are spent teaching self regulation and appropriate responses to undesirable demands; rotations of hands on activities, relaxation, and sensory breaks will help them accomplish their goal of regulating back into their mainstream classes! Many, if not all of my students come to me with a trauma background; they are amazing and resilient young people; any support given is very much appreciated!
