These texts will help promote the Nevada Academic Content Standards for Social Studies in my classroom and the social, emotional, and mental well-being of my students by providing them with an actual text that looks at American History in a way that is inclusive to all cultures and their impact on the development of the United States today. This text is written by a middle school teacher for middle school students in a way that makes history come to life. Since we are lacking textbooks for students to use in the classroom these texts will supplement online resources and provide a resource for students that may be unable to return to the class or miss class due to covid-`19. These texts will be essential in helping to teach the disciplinary standards SS.6-8.EUSH.1 - SS.6-8.EUSH.9. and the content standards associated with the CCSD theme of Culture and Diversity.

About my class
