Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds including a multitude of racial, ethnic, cultural, and economic situations. My students have a passion for reading but need better and more books. In my building we are lacking books written by people like them for people like them. The books purchased with this project will allow them to be seen in a classroom text for the first time. The books will be taken home and used to study other cultures and backgrounds as well. These books will be used in a Workshop Model classroom as well.
