Right now, our bass cases are very thin and don't provide the needed padding for students to take them home and to and from events. The new cases will protect our basses for years to come. Many students in our school come from low income families and cannot afford basic supplies like rosin for their bows. Bows do not work without rosin! The rosin will be given to students to use at home during remote learning. Our bass players have varying heights and the height adjustable stools will help them practice with correct posture while at home and also will be used in the classroom after we get through this pandemic. The tuners will be given to students to use at home, both as a metronome and a tuner for practice. Having a tuner at home is imperative for string players to be able to practice and play in tune. For beginning students, who may not have the ear training yet to tune their own instrument, it solidifies tuning concepts and helps them learn when the strings or notes that they are playing are in tune, are sharp, or are flat.
