My students are all pre-readers and need to build basic skills in order to access books and the world around them. We are so blessed that our classroom is filled with books, but we do not have the variety of books to expose our students to literature about different cultures, holidays, and kindness. Additionally, my students do not have these resources at home. My goal is to provide a set of books that can go home with each of my students so that they may have enough books to read or have read to them when they are no longer sitting at a computer for the school day. I do not want my students to lose touch of what hands on learning is like.
