Visual arts helps my students with their social emotional learning because they are able to express themselves and share their life experiences through creating art. The new tempera paints and liquid water colors will bring vibrancy and life to their paintings as they express who they are and what they are feeling as they live and learn during Covid-19. Our art classroom is a safe place where they can experience the joy of being a child and be brave artists. These new materials will be used to create self portraits and be used in other art lessons that connect with core standards being taught in their homeroom. I love giving my students new opportunities to use amazing art supplies that bring wonder and facilitate creative learning in the art room.
