The books included in this project are multicultural and focus on social emotional learning. Children need to see themselves in books and learn about social emotional skills. The books included do just that; represent every student in my classroom and provide learning opportunities for social emotional growth. These books will be a great addition to my classroom library to help every student feel represented, welcome and wanted in the classroom. As well as providing a welcoming classroom there are books that provide strategies for students to recognize their feelings and skills on what to do with these feelings. In order for a child to learn, their social and emotional health needs have to be filled. Providing my students with these products will create a welcoming classroom, as well as, strategies and skills that will allow them to become the best learners they can be!
