Help me give my students these books to read in our English class. They love these stories! The copies I have are completely falling apart. I have more students than ever before and need to replace these books. The Josefina Story Quilt is about a little girl, her pet chicken, and their journey out west. Miss Nelson is Missing is about a teacher who disguises herself as a mean substitute. When she returns, the children are thrilled and appreciate her more. It is hilarious! I believe part of getting children to read more, is to expose them to books they like. My students have always enjoyed these two books, and I need to replace the worn out copies I have. They deserve to read a book that is not falling apart. Plus, I do not have enough copies for all students any more.
