My project is to help me purchase a new rug for the music classroom. When the student to my class we sit on a rug on the floor.The current rug has been around for many years and has done a great job for the students, but as class sizes have grown, the current rug cannot accommodate a whole group without additional smaller rugs. This separation can be a safety concern, as the tripping hazard increases with each rug added. The new rug will allow me to accommodate any of my classes, regardless of size, in multiple different formations to facilitate their best learning environment. Additionally, students will be able to act as a cohesive group, instead of having some students on separate rugs. Students will use the rug in the classroom only, it will not be used outside the classroom.
