We can open a book up and read about science and how scientists ask questions about the world. But then those scientists make observations and use tools to help them learn. They use hands-on-learning. Each student needs to have an individual set of science tools such as magnifiers, rulers, and cylinders to start making observations. Students learn by doing! Whether we are virtual or in the classroom, individual sets of materials will allow all students to have hands-on learning. The scales are an important tool for the students to use also when they come back to learn. They will be used with science and with our math skills.
