In our classroom, my students play literacy and handwriting games on iPads. When the students use technology, they have more motivation to learn letters and words. My classroom is inclusive, and I have up to 9 Special Education students that use the iPads. A few of them cannot complete work on paper but are successful on the device. We are currently using iPads that are over 10 years old. They lock up and don’t function properly. It is a great frustration for the students and teachers. If our school transitions to Distance Learning, I will use the iPad to video chat with my class and record interactive circle times.
