Our district has wisely built in mask breaks throughout our day and the current state guidelines call for them to be outside. I need an umbrella for each homeroom student to keep under his/her desk so that we can be sure to use the mask break time no matter the weather. My students need a personalized mask to keep their fun personalities at the forefront. The umbrella, extra masks and fabric marker for decorating the mask in a school-appropriate way, lets my students know that we are serious about safety and health AND we care about their social-emotional well-being.
