In my classroom this year, we have been using the free version of Nearpod for our daily, live lessons and my students have loved being able to interact with each lesson. When using Nearpod, students feel empowered to take ownership of their learning as they share their ideas, thoughts, and curiosities throughout the whole day. In our classroom, we use this resource for the entire day. We use the polls for a mental health check in. Students can solve math problems through the draw feature. Students can share thoughts about an idea on a group collaboration board. Students are given choices with virtual field trips and other interactive components of Nearpod. With a gold membership, I will have access to all Nearpod lessons without any additional cost. With this access I will be able to allow students to interact with the lessons at their own pace and demonstrate what they have learned by completing interactive activities. Some of these interactive activities include matching, fill in the blank, and even drawing examples of content knowledge!
