The sit spots are used in our classroom to help with social distancing. The spots will be placed 6 feet apart to help students line up in the classroom or to know where to stand/sit. The sit spots are great visual reminders to students. The tubs will be used to help students store their books for the week. Then the students will sanitize their books before returning them to the library at the end of the week. The boxes also help students to take care of the books and stay organized. The seat sacks will be used to help students store the FUNdations materials in our classroom. We use FUNdations to help support our phonics instruction. Having a place to store the books, whiteboards, markers, and letter board for the lessons is very helpful and cuts down on transition times. Students will need to keep ahold of their own materials and not share them. The seat sacks are also helpful to keep their space organized.
