My third grade students are doing a fabulous job adapting to the online learning world but it is not easy. We need a little bit of help. Organizational supplies are essential to providing safe, socially-responsible distancing strategies for students whether we return to the classroom or remain online. Each student will receive a bin and their work will be color coded so I can begin small groups. This will also limit movement around the classroom when we return. The use of puppets are a learning tool to help students understand appropriate dialogue and interactions in both a virtual and face-to-face setting. I am pulling out every trick I know to keep these 8 and 9 year olds engaged in their learning. Curriculum support materials will also assist with the delivery of writing instruction regardless of learning environment.
