Early childhood is a very critical learning time. We cannot let these young minds miss any opportunities due to lack of technology. With us being a Montessori school we are used to having hands-on material work with the children. We are challenged with how we can make a solid foundation for the children to still be learning & expanding their minds. To be able to ensure that all students are able to join in for this exciting new learning process, my classroom needs to be equipped with iPads. These iPads can help us ensure that no child will be deprived of social connections or be left behind during this challenging learning process. With schools reopening for face to face classes, us teachers are faced with the challenge of making the classroom engaging while also social distancing and keeping the students safe. Hands-on materials and manipulatives are a core component to a student's learning. However, the cleaning and sanitizing of the materials is very time consuming as well as interruptive to valuable learning time for the students. The use of iPads will allow students to have access to Montessori activities and lessons while also being safe and socially distant. I would appreciate the help with getting these needed iPads to my classroom and students.
