My students (especially our boys) are often stereotyped as kids who "don't like to read", or "read way below grade level", or "hate anything to do with books". It is simply not true. The classroom library that was left behind from last year is totally outdated with books dating back to the mid 90's. Our students need books that they can feel excited about. Our students need the chance to fall in love with holding a new book and diving into topics that interest them. These books would mean the world to my students, that are usually labeled as "unable" to excel at reading.
