Physics can be a difficult subject to introduce, with many complex ideas and concepts being introduced on a frequent basis. The class set of The Cartoon Guide to Physics will give my students a way to be quickly introduced to topics in a fun and easy to understand manner. The introductions to topics given by this book will be used as a jumping off point for our learning in class. These new books will give my students a different introduction to the material than a traditional textbook. Physics is often looked at as a boring and difficult class by students, and it is my hope that these books will help students find joy in this subject. The new pencil sharpener will be used to replace the hand-cranked model that is in my classroom that no longer feels like a safe option for students to use in the new COVID-era classroom.
