During these uncertain times I've found a way to connect with my students through Read Alouds. My plan is to teach students the necessary comprehension skills needed for their grade levels using these books. The more engaged my students are, the more likely they are to grasp a skill. Whether we are in school or learning online, I want to make sure my students have access to books that are engaging, meaningful and reflect them as individuals. Reading to students not only teaches them new vocabulary and skills, but encourages them to see themselves as readers.
