This year has been incredibly difficult for all schools across the nation, and world - the pandemic has thrown us through a loop! In the Spring when we left for quarantine students went to homes that may have had little to no art supplies at home - this made teaching High School Art at home very difficult! We made it through - but this year we have time to prepare. Right now we are all still unsure what may happen over the next couple of weeks - but what we do know, is at least a portion of our art making, and learning will happen from home. My incredible artists deserve to make art from home this year, without worrying about the cost associated - especially during this time. This project will allow me to create art supply kits for every single one of my students, that they can keep with them at home - which will help with cross contamination in using supplies others are using - and takes away the worry that they don't have the proper supplies they need to do their best - and to be creative! I have carefully chosen the minimum supplies I believe I need in order to allow my students proper access to learning from home. I will be heading into my classroom to also carefully curate the rest of what students may need based on what I have available in my classroom - including paper and paint in cups. I hope you all see how important the opportunity to make art, especially during this time - will be for my students, and find it within you to help us make some awesome art!
