Scholastic News and Science Spin allow for multiple subjects to be taught. This allows for reading to be integrated into the lessons. They help promote standards and have video content. Scholastic has a Spanish component which will assist our ELL learners. Both magazines allow for multiple subjects to be covered, but they encompass current events which allow the students to utilize speaking and listening skills while learning remotely. The students light up and are very enthusiastic when it comes to BrainPop Jr. because Tim and Moby become their digital friends sharing a multitude of learning objectives/common core standards.
