As we move to a less traditional learning style involving more authentic assessments adding the ability to create 3D objects. Because I use projects and mathematical modeling students will be able to expand their ideas and create real prototypes for discussions. Using 3D printing will also allow students to explore bias and the ideas of fair. The ultimate goal is to create a new class where students will be able to engage in mathematical thinking and mathematical modeling. To this end allowing students to make 3D printed objects will help students tap into their creative side of their brain in a math class.
