Many children start the school-year without the basic supplies needed. This project will support student learning in all subject areas. Pencils, paper, highlighters, rulers, index cards, etc, will be used to provide students with hands-on learning experiences. Students will highlight unknown words while reading and create flash cards in Reading. Index cards will also be used to create flash cards so they can practice Math facts. By creating these items themselves, students will learn to organize and take ownership of their own learning experience. Peer tutoring will also be incorporated.
