Pathways Academy does not have a gym or indoor area for PE or fitness activities. Therefore, our students are subject to Florida's intense heat and hot sun during any outdoor activities. Our elementary students have an organized PE period three days a week, and we would like to begin a regular regimen of physical activities for our secondary students. These materials will provide resources for our PE Coach, teachers, and paraprofessionals to quickly set up a shaded fitness area for our students to participate in physically healthy and engaging activities. The mesh cover will provide shade and the matting will allow students to sit and stretch on the hot cement without bruising or burning themselves.
