In the current environment we live, children are coming to school and are needing to "isolate" themselves and their materials from one another. One of our biggest goals in kindergarten is to teach children how to share and be part of a community. With Covid we are not allowed to share any materials which puts a strain on us as a teachers for finding ways to make the room inviting and fun while still being safe and organized. We believe that as each student has a personal place that is easily accessible (connected to their chair) we will spend less time sanitizing materials and minimize the need for movement to access materials, allowing the children to feel secure and safe. This will give us more time to instruct and have fun. The pointers are something we use and pass around the class but with the current situation we would spend as much time sanitizing as we would using the pointers. The awesome thing about these materials is they are reusable from year to year. So when you look at the number of children over the next 5-10 years that will get use from these materials the cost per child decreases significantly. Unfortunately, we have no way to provide these materials for our children this year due to the strain on all budgets. Please consider donating to a good start for kindergarten.
