The materials that I have chosen for my project will help the students know that I am trying my best to keep them SAFE while still helping them learn and do Math! Children need to hold math in their hands before they can hold it in their heads. I did not come up with this phrase, but I think it shows what I want to do with my project. And do it safely! We still need to be hands on with children for them to have a conceptual understanding of the math.
