My project includes many sensory tools that will help my students calm their bodies so they can learn and play cooperatively. We call this Active Learning in pre-k! The sensory beads and magnetic trucks are fun and engaging so they will also be practicing the PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS of sharing, waiting for a turn and trading. The students will also be practicing their communication skills while playing with the dolls. And will be especially excited to use the special needs accessories because some students can personally identify with the equipment.
