As an English teacher, it is my goal to get students reading more. Those who read more are better writers because they are exposed to a variety of styles and voices. I want to make sure that I reach a diverse group of students through the subject matter of books. I also want to ensure that my students feel safe and welcomed into my classroom during this pandemic of COVID-19. Despite what your beliefs may be about COVID, we have to face the reality that the school system has to adapt to abide by CDC guidelines. That being said, I need the extra cleaning supplies when possible. Help me make my students' year easier by helping provide materials to give them a sense of normalcy and consistency. I also need the lockable filing cabinet to keep important documents that are required by state law to stay secure. This will ensure student confidentiality of important documents like IEP, health, and 504 documentation.
