The books that I have selected will enhance the grammar lessons I strive to teach my students. I will select a new book each week to examine grammar, author's craft, and word choice by choosing a specific mentor sentence that is outstanding. My students will have the opportunity to become "word collectors" by recording the rich vocabulary and author's craft of the week with the supplies chosen. From jotting the information down in a mini composition book at school or a digital notebook from home, my students will have ample opportunities to engage with a variety of texts and authors.
