Students, especially in their teen years, need an opportunity to see and hear their teacher clearly -- especially when we turn to online learning. With a low-cost, high definition webcam my time spent instructing my students can be better spent. The difference between a poor mic and poor video, as opposed to clear and crisp sound and image, can make a great deal of difference with their ability to connect and form a bond. In my district, at least two months will be spent online. After that time, should the local numbers fall with regard to the pandemic, we will switch to an hybrid format where three days are spent online to every two in-person. Having the ability to show myself in a crisp way can greatly help throughout the coming school year's many difficulties.
