Highschool Geometry is very different than other math classes my students have taken before. Many students struggle with Geometry concepts. The GeoStix Manipulatives will help students get hands on exploration of a variety of geometry concepts from angles, triangles, circles, and other planar figures. They can construct figures to explore properties of congruency, similarity, angles measures, and other attributes of two-dimensional geometric figures. I have also requested a classroom set of student dry erase boards. My students love to write on dry erase boards. These will help increase student engage and help me assess student understanding. I also need a classroom set of scientific calculators. Having a classroom set of calculators will help ensure every student has access to the same tools to help them be successful in their calculations.
