Last spring we were thrown into a world of online teaching no one was ready for. As I gathered my teaching tools and supplies from my classroom, I had no idea this would be the way we would be teaching for the next 6 months. As I began meeting my students online as a class, there were many technological pitfalls we had to overcome. The frustration level began to rise when I couldn't get my old laptop to cooperate while I was teaching. With my connectivity issues, it was easy to lose my kindergarteners attention. Upgrading my laptop is essential for me to teach virtually. By donating to my project I will have the latest Macbook Pro to deliver the highest quality instruction to my students. When I am able to seamlessly share my screen, toggle between resources, and see all my students faces, it makes my online lessons feel solid. My favorite part of the day is when my whole class meets for our morning meeting and calendar. We have check ins, talk about new things in their lives, sing songs and read stories. One of our phrases in class is "Do your best work!" I know I can give them my best work when I have the best technology to work with.
