Every semester when my Clothing Design classes fill up with beginner and returning, more advanced students, I feel energized knowing that the skills they learn will last a lifetime. I feel proud to provide a robust Clothing Design curriculum as these offerings in schools, and sewing in general, is on the verge of dying out. With these sewing machines, my students will be afforded the opportunity to fully participate, while remotely learning, in the Clothing Design class they elected. The sense of accomplishment students feel when completing a project that positively impacts self-confidence is very rewarding. They know that they are successful in planning and preparation, utilizing mathematical skills in another discipline, employing problem solving, and creative thinking with a project that is solely their own.
