This year will look very different than the normal school year and I miss my students terribly. I want to create math tool kits that will help my students continue learning with all the math manipulatives we normally use, but in a way that will also help to keep them safe. These materials will be used to create independent math kits for each student in my class. The kits will include dice, counters, connecting cubes, counters, analog clocks, pattern blocks, a dry-erase marker, and an eraser. The laminating pouches will be used to give each student their own reusable copies of ten frames, number grids, number lines, and part-part-whole mats. The plan for fall is to start remotely, but the goal to to return to the classroom later this year. I can use these kits in class so that we are not sharing supplies. I can easily have students take their kit home if we need, to transition to remote learning again. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity in helping my students acquire the tools they need to succeed.
