In our larger classes, my students have trouble hearing the metronome due to our smartboard speaker not being loud enough. Having a solid metronome and speaker will help everyone stay in time when we all play together beyond the first two rows! Beginners go through reeds and rosin like no other. Although we have enough supply to get through the end of the year, I am using this project to also prepare for when we redistribute instruments in the Fall. Currently, we are using four blocks of rosin in class for each student. I would like them to be able to have their own. Most students rent instruments and supplies from the school, so it is essential that we have what they need to succeed! As our programs grow, our trombone section will also. Having quality slide cream to practice proper maintenance on their instrument will help keep our school instruments in great shape for many years to come!
