Each girl will receive her own "take home equipment" bag to continue exercising and working out at home, as well as be able to bring their "to go bags" to and from practice, ensuring everyone has the same opportunity and exposure to becoming their best selves, despite income and economic differences within our school district. Our girls come to us from very different economic backgrounds, which normally would not be an issue if we could rent out equipment from school. However with new COVID guidelines, each student athlete must now supply their own equipment. We want to keep everyone moving forward together, and by supplying each girl with their very own bag of equipment we will be able to achieve this. We have worked hard to create a fitness program for the girls to participate in at school during and outside of our sports season. Teaching them the importance of mat work, foam rolling their muscles, stretching out using bands, and we want to continue this work despite recent challenges. Utilizing online platforms, we want to be able to continue this work, allowing the girls to do this from the comfort of their own homes. Without equipment provided, this will not be possible.
