We're going 100% online for the first semester. Students will have an online curriculum, but sometimes it's necessary to read a text that isn't online, show students how to fill in a graphic organizer, or show them other analog materials. A document camera will allow me to share texts and my annotations with students the way I'd do it in a physical classroom, and it will provide a necessary break from doing everything on the computer. In addition to the document camera, I'm requesting a whiteboard which I can use in the same way I would use a classroom whiteboard and a ring light to help provide a brighter image so my students can see me without the distractions of weird shadows.
