In my library I like to focus on creative ways to teach my students about literature and help engage their minds. Installing a smart TV monitor that I can connect with from my laptop will allow me to visually show and discuss books as well as displaying research different grade level topics . Allowing my students to participate with my interactive lessons on the TV monitor will allow them and myself to be able to seamlessly transition to online learning if needed. The learning objectives are listed below that I will be able to teach my students with this piece of technology. RI.K.7 With prompting and support, describe the relationship between illustrations and the text in which they appear (e.g., what person, place, thing, or idea in the text an illustration depicts). RI 1.5 Know and use various text features (e.g., headings, tables of contents, glossaries, electronic menus, icons) to locate key facts or information in a text. RL 2.1 Ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why, and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text. RL 3.2 Recount stories, including fables, folktales, and myths from diverse cultures; determine the central message, lesson, or moral and explain how it is conveyed through key details in the text. With prompting and support, identify the main topic and retell key details of a text. RL 4.2 Determine a theme of a story, drama, or poem from details in the text; summarize the text RL.5.6 Describe how a narrator’s or speaker’s point of view influences how events are described.
