These supplies will give students the opportunity to build a biosphere bottle, which is a unit that contains all the necessary parts to sustain life. The elodea will be used for oxygen for the fish I will buy. The folders and pencils will be used for students to record what is happening. This project allows students to see all types of organisms working together to sustain one another. Plants need animals as much as animals need plants. This bottle will have a top half with terrestrial life and an aquatic base. I did this project my first year teaching and the students kept these bottle systems for months at home. My situation has changed and I am not able to afford this project as I had in the past. I know that it had a lasting impact on my students.
