Help me build my middle school classroom library! As a second-year Language Arts teacher, I strive to inspire a love of reading in my students. My students enjoy a wide variety of books and genres, and I want to provide engaging grade-level resources for them - but I lack the funding to do this on my own. Literature is one way for my students to learn about and empathize with other people, cultures, and identities. I've selected books that will widen my student's horizons and appeal to a variety of readers. These books will make a great addition to the books already in my classroom. I've chosen books that are: - written by people of color - about mental health - about strong women - nonfiction books and memoirs - about social media and digital literacy - historical fiction and nonfiction Thank you for your willingness to help.
