Unifix cubes will be used to teach students that multiplication means grouping, not memorization. Base-10 blocks will be used to teach students how to add and subtract 3-digit numbers. Dice will be used to play engaging math games. I believe that math should be hands-on and students should be given the opportunity to use manipulatives to gain conceptual understanding of math skills such as multiplication and division. These math manipulatives will provide students with hands-on practice in an engaging way to develop their conceptual understanding of important math skills.
