One of the biggest goals I set for my students is being able to flawlessly write letters and numbers and use a variety of materials such as markers, pencils, crayons, etc. Due to being completely virtual for the start of the year, many students will be completing assignments from home, and I hope to give each student a whiteboard to encourage as much practice as possible. This project will benefit all 5 kindergarten classes at my school, helping a total of 140 students! Regardless of our school situation, online or in person, I want to give my students the best kindergarten experience–and that includes whiteboard use. The students love doodling and writing on whiteboards, and it provides a completely different sensory writing experience. And, it saves us a lot of paper while providing loads of extra practice. A whiteboard is critical for all types of learning including math and language arts.
